All about donating your pre-loved items to GRACE

At GRACE, we truly appreciate your generous donations.

However, it's important to note that we incur costs when disposing of worn out, damaged or dirty items.

To help us serve our community better, please consider only donating items in good condition.

Your support makes a difference!

The condition of donated items is very important.
Please only donate items that are clean,
complete and in good, giftable condition.

If you're unsure about your donation, simply call our shop on 0208 062 8741 to discuss.

Items should be freshly washed or wiped down before donating. Clothing should be clean and presentable, with no stains, holes or heavy wear.

Shoes should be in good condition overall. The soles should not be excessively worn, and the leather, canvas, uppers and shoelaces should be clean.

Books should be in good readable condition. Please do not donate books with torn covers, stained pages, tatty edges, broken spines or missing pages.

Items that are broken, chipped, inoperative, heavily worn, dirty or sticky should not be donated. Please recycle these items or place them in your household refuse instead.

Remember, if you wouldn't feel comfortable gifting an item, it's best not to donate it.

Unfortunately, items that do not meet these standards may need to be politely declined.

Thank you for helping us respect the time of our volunteers and ensure that the people we support receive items that are clean and usable.

Call us before visiting

We recommend calling the shop on 0208 062 8741 before your visit to ensure we can accept your donation. Occasionally, we reach our capacity and need to temporarily decline further donations.

There are parking bays available on Old Road directly outside the shop.
